Summary:

The Police Department and Procurement and Contracts Division are requesting to utilize State of Florida Contract 46151504-NASPO-17-ACS with Point Blank Enterprises, Inc. through distributor Federal Eastern International of Jacksonville, Florida for the purchase of Bullet Proof Vests and Body Armor.

The current contract term with Point Blank Enterprises, Inc. is effective through March 15, 2021. This is an indefinite quantity contract.  Actual expenditures will vary as usage will be on an as-needed basis at the established unit prices and available funding.  Based on prior usage reports and information provided by the primary user, the estimated annual expenditure is $180,000.00.

No City Certified M/WBE suppliers are registered for this commodity.

Recommended Action:

Authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to utilize the State of Florida contract with Point Blank Enterprises, Inc. as indicated above in the estimated annual amount of $180,000.00, subject to review and approval by the City Attorney’s Office.
