Summary:
City of Orlando has a Continuing Professional Surveying and Mapping Services Agreement with Southeastern Surveying and Mapping Corporation (Southeastern) that was approved by City Council on April 20, 2015.
Public Works Department and Procurement and Contracts Division are now requesting approval to issue a service authorization to Southeastern for surveying services to prepare an updated ADA Transition Plan for the City. The scope of this project will include reviewing the City’s existing ADA Transition Plan, identifying physical obstacles limiting accessibility along a sample of the City roadways, reviewing and updating the City’s defined methodologies for making the facilities accessible, developing a schedule and budgetary cost estimates for making accessibility modifications and preparing an updated Transition Plan report.
The City and Southeastern negotiated a not-to-exceed proposal in the amount of $148,681.68 for this project. Staff considers this fee proposal reasonable and appropriate for the scope of work to be performed.
