Summary:

The proclamation commemorates the 49th anniversary of the passage of Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968, as amended, the Federal Fair Housing Law.  Marcia Hope Goodwin, Chief Service Officer and Director of the Office of Community Affairs and Human Relations, will preview the Fair Housing Month activities and introduce members of the City's Human Relations Team, Chapter 57 Review Board and representatives of local housing counseling agencies.  The Mayor will read the proclamation and present it before taking a photo with Chapter 57 Review Board members, fair housing partners and city staff.

Recommended Action:
City Council recognition of April as Fair Housing Month, recognizing the staff, Chapter 57 Review Board and representatives of local housing counseling agencies.
