Summary:

As Cities of Service Program Coordinator, Hiba George performs programmatic, administrative and supervisory work planning, coordinating, conducting and reporting outcomes of Mayor Buddy Dyer's Orlando Cares Initiative under the direction of the City's Chief Service Officer and Director of Community Affairs and Human Relations.  Hiba coordinates the collection and preparation of program performance reports, implements program design, structure and curriculum and manages volunteer recruitment and retention.  She also supervises up to 11 AmeriCorps VISTA members awarded to the Orlando Cares program by the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), acquires program funding and creates and maintains partnerships with businesses and community agencies to implement Orlando Cares' programs.

This position is essential to the City meeting all requirements of its Orlando Cares' program, including contractual agreements.
Fiscal & Efficiency Data: Funding for this contract is included in the Office of Community Affairs and Human Relations' general fund budget.
Recommended Action:
Approve and authorize the Mayor/Pro-tem and City Clerk to execute the contract, subject to review and approval by the Office of Legal Affairs.
