The attached ordinance will rezone the proposed Minor Audi of South Orlando Addition, from R-3B to MU-2. The vacant property is located at the southeast corner of Conroy and Vineland Rds., northwest of Interstate 4 and along the north edge of the Audi of South Orlando vehicle dealership. The applicant is James Willard, Shutts & Bowen, LLP, for Luxury Orlando Imports, Inc. (Audi of South Orlando).
The zoning request is tied to an administrative master plan (LDC2016-00383) to add additional outdoor inventory/display area to the existing Audi of South Orlando vehicle dealership. The administrative master plan approval will be the effective date of the rezoning.
The underlying future land use of the property is Mixed Use Corridor, High Intensity, so the proposed MU-2 (High Intensity, Mixed Use Corridor) zoning will be consistent with the future land use designation.
The Municipal Planning Board recommended approval of the rezoning on December 20, 2016, with the City Council approving those MPB minutes on January 23, 2017. City Council approved the rezoning on 1st reading on Mon. Feb. 13, 2017.
