Service Authorization for Canin Associates, Inc., of Orlando, Florida, for the Mercy Drive Neighborhood Vision Plan RFQ17-0069 (Service Authorization #1, RFP16-0128)

Summary:

On August 15, 2016, City Council approved the rank order and authorization for the Chief Procurement Officer to execute a contract with the top five (5) ranked firms for RFP16-0128, City Planning Services (Item B-5) with price quotes to be solicited on a project deliverable basis.

A Consultant is now needed to assist in the development of a vision plan for the neighborhoods surrounding the Mercy Drive corridor, which includes the multi-family properties along Mercy Drive and the Lake Lawne and Parkview single family residential neighborhoods.  Quotes were requested from Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc., GAI Consultants, Inc./Community Solutions Group, Littlejohn Engineering Associates, Inc., Renaissance Planning Group and Canin Associates, Inc. to provide services related to the Mercy Drive Neighborhood Vision Plan.  

The following quotes were received in response to the subject solicitation to include optional items:

 Procurement and Contracts Division and Economic Development Department evaluated the quotes and recommend award to the lowest responsive and responsible firm, Canin Associates, Inc.

Canin Associates, Inc. has proposed to use the following M/WBE subcontractors for this project:

Authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to execute the Service Authorization to Canin Associates, Inc. of Orlando, Florida, for the Mercy Drive Neighborhood Vision Plan project in the estimated amount of $112,516.00, subject to review and approval of the City Attorney's Office.
