The City of Orlando is requesting the continued employment of Brian Weber, as the Orlando Venues Technology Support Specialist. This person is responsible in overseeing and managing all of the communications and technology needs, use and systems of the Orlando Venues department. The employee in this position is responsible for supporting computer programs; program testing and debugging; documentation and assisting personnel in the procurement and use of computer and software applications, equipment and the training in the same. This position serves as a liaison that coordinates activities between City staff, vendors, partners and contractors. They will be the network liaison with the building technology, IP and phone system providers. He will coordinate scheduling of product upgrades, troubleshooting and testing. Assists in analyzing manual and automated systems; and designing, implementing, testing, administering and improving information systems applications and procedures. Trains and assists personnel in the use of computer applications and equipment. This is an approved, fully funded contract position with benefits within cost center VEN0004_C (Amway Center). The salary is $42,452.80 for a two year contract.
