Summary:
Peter Effaldana has been working for Families, Parks & Recreation for 26 years. He started out as a puppeteer in 1991, and was hired a year later as the Recreation Specialist at Dover Shores Community Center. In 1994, he was promoted as the Facilities Manager at the center. In 1996, Peter became the first Cultural Arts Manager for the Recreation Division. In 2010, the Cultural Arts Manager position was transferred to the Parks Division. The two major focuses were as the City’s liaison for the Lock Haven Cultural Park Alliance and expanding special events in numerous parks. Peter Effaldana has left his unique footprint on the programs he has developed and the cultural events he has helped facilitate. Mr. Effaldana is retiring in early February 2017.
