Award for FY 2016-2017 Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Countywide Program for Project: Active Shooter First Responder Kits.

Summary:

On August 29, 2016, the City Council approved the application for the U.S. Department of Justice, Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE.), Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program. The Orlando Police Department has been awarded $61,244.00 to be used for the project entitled, ACTIVE SHOOTER FIRST RESPONDER KITS. The subaward funds will be utilized for the purchase of active shooter first responder kits.

Recommended Action:

Approval and acceptance of the grant award by City Council and execution by the Mayor of Certificate of Acceptance of Subgrant Award, subject to review and approval by the City Attorney's Office and the Grants Development Division.
