Summary:

A Request for Qualification Statements (RQS) for Professional Engineering Services related to the Lift Station No. 45 replacement project was issued on May 9, 2016.  On September 19, 2016, City Council authorized the Chief Procurement Officer to proceed with negotiations with Wright-Pierce, Inc.

The attached subject Contract for preliminary engineering design services to determine actual and future conditions to replace the station is the result of those negotiations.

The attached MBE Utilization Memo supports the M/WBE participation in this work that exceeds the 24% M/WBE goals.  Wright-Pierce, Inc. M/WBE Participation Plan includes 19.8% MBE and 9.2% WBE participation.

Recommended Action:

Authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to execute a Contract with Wright-Pierce, Inc., in the not-to-exceed amount of $214,235.00, for these Professional Engineering Services for the subject project, subject to the review and approval of the City Attorney’s Office.
