SunRail Voluntary Cooperation Mutual Aid Agreement
Summary:

The Orlando Police Department and law enforcement agencies along the SunRail line are entering into this agreement to allow each of the agencies to request or agree to render law enforcement assistance to the other in law enforcement emergencies. The agencies may request and render voluntary cooperation and assistance of a routine law enforcement nature across jurisdictional lines, in addition, the agencies shall be allowed to take action for a "crime of violence against another person.
Fiscal & Efficiency Data: No costs, however, each agency is required to bear their own expenses.
Recommended Action:
Approval of the Mutual Aid Agreement and authorization for execution of the Agreement by the Mayor or Mayor Pro Tem and Chief of Police, subject to review by the City Attorney's Office.
