Combined Operational Assistance & Voluntary Cooperation Mutual Aid Agreement - OCSO

Summary:
The Orange County Sheriff's Office and the Orlando Police Department are entering into this agreement to allow each of the agencies to request or agree to render law enforcement assistance to the other in law enforcement emergencies. The agencies may request and render voluntary cooperation and assistance of a routine law enforcement nature across jurisdictional lines.

Fiscal & Efficiency Data: No costs, however, each agency is required to bear their own expenses although the requesting Agency may seek funding to reimburse the assisting agency.

Recommended Action:
Approval of Mutual Aid Agreement and authorization for execution of the Agreement by the Mayor or Mayor Pro Tem and the Chief of Police, subject to review by the City Attorney's Office.
