Contract with Tetra Tech, Inc., for Professional Engineering Services for the Wastewater Force Main System Evaluation Project, RQS16-0213

Summary:

A Request for Qualification Statements (RQS) for the subject project was issued on March 7, 2016, and a final presentation was held on June 8, 2016.  On July 11, 2016, City Council authorized the Chief Procurement Officer to proceed with negotiations with Tetra Tech, Inc. for Professional Engineering Services.

The attached subject Contract, including the scope of services for Phase I Preliminary Design and Engineering described therein, is the result of those negotiations for Phase I.

The attached MBE memo supports the M/WBE Participation Plan for Phase I work and indicates that future proposals for the final phase will meet or exceed the 24% M/WBE requirement.

Recommended Action:

Authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to execute a Contract with Tetra Tech, Inc. in the not-to-exceed amount of $521,778.21 for Phase I Professional Engineering Services for the project, subject to the review and approval of the City Attorney’s Office.
