Ordinance No. 2016-94 Rezoning from the AC-3A Downtown Metropolitan Activity Center District with the Traditional City Overlay District to the Planned Development District with the Traditional City Overlay District; Providing a Development Plan and Special Land Development Regulations of the Planned Development District (500 S. Magnolia Ave.) (Economic Development)

Summary:

The subject property is located at 500 S. Magnolia Ave. which is south of E. Anderson Street, east of S. Orange Avenue, and west of S. Magnolia Avenue and is approximately 0.26 acres. The PD amendment is being requested in order to develop an 11-story, 126-room hotel with a ground floor restaurant and an offsite and valet only parking service.  The Applicant is requesting a density bonus of 3.97 FAR for the AC-3A/T zoning district to develop the site at 7.97 FAR.

 

City Council approved the item on 1st reading on Nov. 14, 2016.

Recommended Action:

Adopt the attached ordinance number 2016-94 and authorize the Major and City Clerk or Major Pro Tempore and City Clerk to execute on behalf of the City upon final review and approval by the City Attorney.
