Summary:
This proposed Land Development Code Amendment amends the allowable use and development standard tables in Chapter 58, by combining the Traditional City and Citywide use tables, accompanying definitions in Chapter 66, modifying the footnotes and correcting other development standards to make these items consistent. This makes the use tables more user friendly.
Additionally, the modified use tables are proposed to allow flexibility of personal storage uses in industrial zoning districts under certain conditions. The amendment also deletes the cluster development, average lot and designed community standards, as these concepts are generally outdated and have not been used for any development since 1991 when the consolidated Land Development Code was first adopted.
This Land Development Code Amendment was recommended for approval at the July 2016 Municipal Planning Board (MPB); the minutes and recommendations of this MPB meeting were approved by the City Council on August 15, 2016. The first reading and hearing of this item occurred on October 24, 2016. |
