Summary:
The Sustainability Project Manager position is responsible for managing and coordinating the initiatives of the Green Works Orlando Community Action Plan and other sustainability directives, specifically the focus areas of Energy & Green Buildings, Transportation, and Water.
Brittany is a PhD candidate from the University of Central Florida who will graduate in December 2016. She has been working as a part-time consultant for City of Orlando through the Institute for Market Transformation (IMT) for the last 12 months, assisting the City with our policy and program developments for the City Energy Project (CEP). Brittany has also assisted with the City of Orlando greenhouse gas inventory and city-wide energy data analysis, updates to the Green Works website, participation in the US DOE Better Building Challenge programs (SEED, CELIA), and additional Green Works projects dealing with community outreach and education, trees and recycling initiatives.
Over the next 2 years, Brittany will continue working on city-wide planning and reporting for the Green Works Municipal and Community Action Plans, assist with development of solar projects, create green building incentive programs for new construction, and implement other priority strategies identified in the Green Works plans. |
