Summary:
The City of Orlando OPEB Trust Fund was established by the City Council on September 8, 2008, to set aside funds to meet the City’s future retiree healthcare liability. Assets in the OPEB Trust are invested in a broad range of investments suitable for a portfolio with a long-term investment horizon. At the inception of the OPEB Trust, an asset allocation study was done by the OPEB Trust’s investment consultant, NEPC, and approved by OPEB Board of Trustees.
NEPC recently conducted a new asset allocation study for the OPEB Trust to evaluate the current allocation of investments. NEPC recommends the changes shown in the attached document. The Finance Committee and the Investment Committee have approved the new asset allocation. |
