Summary:
The Worksharing Agreement between the City of Orlando Office of Community Affairs and Human Relations, a Fair Employment Practice Agency (FEPA), and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) sets “common jurisdiction and goals of the two agencies.” Both agencies “agree to the terms of the agreement, which is designed to provide individuals with an efficient procedure for obtaining redress for their grievances under appropriate state, local and federal laws.”
The attached FY 2017 Contract Option Period Extension (COPE) and FY 2017 Extension of Worksharing Agreement were presented to the FEPA by EEOC to exercise the extension option as detailed in the attached FY 2014 Worksharing Agreement, which was approved by City Council on October 21, 2013. Sections I & II represent performance between May 1, 2015 and April 30, 2016 which encompasses 5 months of FY 2015 and 7 months of FY 2016. The FY 2017 contract award will be partially based on the aforementioned performance period. EEOC will review the FY 2017 contracted number in July of 2017, and depending on the FEPA’s case inventory and the intake rate at that time, the number of case closures and intakes may be modified upward or downward. |
