2016-2017 Funding Agreement between the City of Orlando and the Foundation for Building Community

Summary:

The Foundation for Building Community, Inc. is a collaborative of business and civic leaders from Central Florida's seven county area. The Funding Agreement outlines activities the Foundation will advance in the fiscal year ahead to include continuing the bid to bring the 2019 World Chambers of Congress to Orlando which would bring 2,000 business leaders from around the globe to experience Orlando's "other half." In addition, the Foundation will continue regional priority in the advancement of the policies and programs in the City's 2013 GreenWorks Community Action Plan, including planning and leading a best practices mission for community leaders to trvel to a domestic location to explore opportunities related to sustainability, urban redevelopment and economic development. Other terms are specified in Exhibit C of the funding agreement.

Recommended Action:
Approval of the funding agreement between the City and the Foundation for Building Community, Inc. subject to review and approval by the City Attorney's Office.
