FY 2016 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding agreement between the City of Orlando and Jewish Family Services of Greater Orlando, Inc.

Summary:
On July 25, 2016, City Council approved, as part of the FY 2016 Annual Action Plan, a request from Jewish Family Services of Greater Orlando, Inc. for CDBG funding in the amount of Thirty-Eight Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($38,500.00).  Funding will support one case manager who will provide case management services for approximately twenty-five (25) low- and moderate-income persons. These services will focus on assisting individuals to overcome immediate crisis and achieve long-term financial stability and self-sufficiency. 

Fiscal & Efficiency Data:

FY 2016 HUD - Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding was approved on 7/25/2016 as part of the Annual Action Plan.


Recommended Action:
Approve and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the agreement with Jewish Family Services of Greater Orlando, Inc. in the amount of Thirty-Eight Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($38,500.00) after review of the documents by the City Attorney's Office and Grants Development Supervisor.
