No. 2016-70 amends the future land use designation from Residential Medium Intensity to Mixed Use Corridor Medium Intensity and excludes from Subarea Policy S.12.1 for portions of a development site 1.75 acres in size, located north of W Muriel St, east of S Lucerne Ter, south of W Harding St, and west of S Orange Ave (S Orange Medical Complex) (Economic Development).
Summary:

Ordinance Number 2016-70 will amend the City's adopted Growth Management Plan to change the future land use map designation for Lots 54 and 55 of a development site from Residential Medium Intensity to Mixed Use Corridor Medium Intensity. The ordinance will further amend the Growth Management Plan to remove Lots 51 and 52 of the development site from the boundaries of Subarea Policy S.12.1. This development site is approximately 1.75 acres in area and generally located north of W Muriel St, east of S Lucerne Ter, south of W Harding St, and west of S Orange Ave. These changes will allow for the redevelopment of the S Orange Medical Complex.

On July 19, 2016, the Municipal Planning Board recommended approval of the above-mentioned actions (GMP2016-00009, Item #4A).

Recommended Action:
Adopt the attached ordinance number 2016-70 on second reading and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk or Mayor Pro Tempore and City Clerk to execute on behalf of the City upon its final review and approval by the City Attorney.
