Ordinance No. 2016-72 Rezone Approximately 0.53 Acres of Land Generally Located at the Northwest Corner of E Jefferson St. and N Westmoreland Dr. from R-2B/T/PH to PD/T/PH (222 Westmoreland Apartments PD). (Economic Development)


Lufti Investment Co Inc. (owner), through Swann Hadley PA (applicant), requests approval of a Planned Development for +/- 0.53-acres at the northwest corner of E Jefferson St. and N Westmoreland Dr.

Specifically, the applicant requests to rezone approximately 0.53 acres of land from R-2B/T/PH to PD/T/PH (222 Westmoreland Apartments PD) for a redevelopment of the site with a sixteen-unit market-rate apartment building. The Municipal Planning Board recommended approval of the re-zoning (ZON2016-00009) on June 21, 2016.

The First Reading of this ordinance occurred on September 15, 2016.

Recommended Action:
Adopt the attached ordinance number 2016-72 and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk or Mayor Pro Tempore and City Clerk to execute on behalf of the City upon final review and approval by the City Attorney.
