The Fifth Amendment to the Fourth Amended and Restated Development Order for Lake Nona Development of Regional Impact (Economic Development)
Summary:

The Lake Nona DRI, located south of Dowden Road, west of Narcoossee Road, and east of the Orlando International Airport, is approximately 6,968 acres in size.  On August 16, 2016, the Municipal Planning Board approved the Lake Nona DRI & PD Amendments (Cases DRI2016-00003 & ZON2016-00017).

The following amendments to the Lake Nona DRI Development Order and PD were requested:

  • Amend Map H-Master Plan 8.4/PD Development Plan to change the DRI land use for Parcel 10b from “Residential Neighborhood” to “Airport Support District—Medium Intensity”.
  • Amend DRI section 3.15(B) to revise the mix of uses by acreage.
  • Amend PD Section 3 Part E Maximum Building Height Standards to reflect land use changes for parcels.

These amendments were evaluated pursuant to the Notice of Proposed Change (NOPC) process managed by the East Central Florida Regional Planning Council as required by Florida Statutes. After this review, it has been determined that these changes do not constitute a substantial deviation to the DRI under section 380.06(19), Florida Statutes.

Recommended Action:

Approval of the attached development order and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk or Mayor Pro Tempore and City Clerk to execute on behalf of the City upon final review and approval by the City Attorney.
