Ratification of 2016-2017 Financial Assistance Agreement Between FDLE & OPD

Summary:
The Financial Assistance Agreement between the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and the Orlando Police Department is a Multi-Agency Voluntary Cooperation Mutual Aid Agreement (MAA) to establish terms and conditions for the purpose of facilitation and providing technical assistance and equipment in criminal investigations in Florida.

Recommended Action:
Ratification by City Council of the Agreement between FDLE and OPD relating to reimbursement of costs to OPD for participation in the Multi-Agency Voluntary Cooperation Mutual Aid Agreement (MAA), and approval of execution by the Chief of Police, subject to review by the City Attorney's Office and the Grants Development Division
