Use of the Florida State Contract with Garber Ford, Inc. for the purchase of thirteen (13) Ford Police Interceptor Utility vehicles, C16-0382

Summary:
The Fleet Management Division and the Orlando Police Department are requesting to utilize Florida State Contract #25100000-16-1 with Garber Ford, Inc. of Green Cove Springs, Florida for the purchase of thirteen (13) 2017 Ford Police Interceptor Utility vehicles, at a total cost of $426,146.50.
 
These vehicles will replace thirteen (13) total loss marked patrol vehicles. 
 
Utilizing the Florida State Contract will provide highly competitive pricing and expedited delivery of 2017 model year vehicles at 2016 model year pricing.  No City Certified M/WBE suppliers are contract awardees.

Recommended Action:
Authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to utilize Florida State Contract #25100000-16-1 and issue a Purchase Order to Garber Ford, Inc. in the amount of $426,146.50.
