Summary:

The hospitality industry has a significant impact on Central Florida’s economic prosperity, through tourist and sales tax revenues, and through the direct and indirect employment the industry provides for over one-third of Central Florida citizens.

Mayor Dyer will call on Executive Director of the Downtown Development Board/Community Redevelopment Agency, Thomas Chatmon, who will give background on the item. Thomas Chatmon will ask the Mayor to read the proclamation, in honor of International Housekeeping Week, and invite housekeepers to join him for a group photo.

Mayor Dyer will proclaim the week of September 11-17, 2016 as International Housekeeping Week.
