Purchase Order with Heart of Florida United Way for Orlando United Assistance Center Administration and Management Services, N16-0329

Summary:

On July 8, 2016, a Purchase Order was issued to Heart of Florida United Way (HFUW) to provide administration and management services for the Orlando United Assistance Center (OUAC) from July 11, 2016 to September 2, 2016 in the amount of $96, 417.91.  

Approval is now requested to extend this partnership for an additional 60 days, beginning on September 3, 2016.  The initial 60 days and the additional 60 days will allow the City and HFUW to gather additional data and assess client needs to determine the most appropriate long term agreement.  The estimated 60 day expenditure is $123,257.00.  The City intends to seek full reimbursement for all costs associated with the Orlando United Assistance Center through the federal Anti-Terrorism and Emergency Assistance Program.

Recommended Action:
Authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to issue a Purchase Order to Heart of Florida United Way as indicated above in the amount of $123,257.00, subject to review and approval by the City Attorney’s Office.
