Ordinance No. 2016-59 amending the future land use designation for a portion of the property from Industrial to Urban Activity Center and rezoning the entire project from P/T/PH and I-G/T/PH to AC-2/T/PH for a total of 2.132 acres of property located south of Livingston Street, west of I-4 and north of W. Robinson Street (Marriott Hotel). (Economic Development)
Summary:

The attached ordinance amends the future land use designation for a portion of the property from Industrial to Urban Activity Center (1.634 acres) and rezone the entire project from P/T/PH and I-G/T/PH to AC-2/T/PH for a total of 2.132 acres of property located south of Livingston Street, west of I-4 and north of W. Robinson Street, and addressed at 400 W. Livingston Street.  This change will provide a single land use and zoning district for a property that is currently split-zoned. 

The Municipal Planning Board recommended approval of the GMP amendment to amend a portion of the property from Industrial to Urban Activity Center future land use designation (GMP2016-00008) and rezone the entire project from P/T/PH and I-G/T/PH to AC-2/T/PH (ZON2016-00008) on June 21, 2016.  The first reading for this ordinance was heard on August 15, 2016.

Recommended Action:

Adopt the attached ordinance number 2016-59 and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk or Mayor Pro Tempore and City Clerk to execute on behalf of the City upon its final review and approval by the City Attorney.
