Summary:
The Orlando Fire Department has been awarded grant funding under the FY2015 Assistance to Firefighters (AFG) Grant program. The AFG Grant is issued by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The purpose of the AFG program is to protect the health and safety of the public and firefighting personnel against fire and fire-related hazards. The approved award is a total of $176,000.00. The Federal share is 90 percent or $160,000.00 of the approved amount and the share of the costs to OFD is 10 percent or $16,000.00. This award has been provided to fund the purchase of chest compression devices for the OFD Rescues. The period of performance for this grant is July 28, 2016 -July 27, 2017. |
