Ordinance No. 2016-62 amending the future land use designation from Office Medium Intensity and Industrial to Urban Activity Center and rezoning from O-2/T/PH to AC-2/T/PH property generally located north of W. Robinson St., south of Pittman St., and west of N. Hughey Ave. (400 Pittman St.) (Economic Development)
Summary:

Situated in the Parramore neighborhood, the +/-0.90 acre subject property (PID: 26-22-29-7124-00-081) is generally located south of Pittman St., north of W. Robinson St., and west of N. Hughey Ave. The site is developed with warehouse buildings (Clean the World Recycling Operations).

The applicant (Keating/Schlitt, PA)  is requesting to change the future land land use designations from Industrial and Office-Medium Intensity to Urban Activity Center and rezone the subject site from O-2 with the Traditional (/T) City and Parramore Heritage (/PH) Overlays  to AC-2/T/PH to  make the site's industrial/office uses consistent with the future land use and zoning.

The Municipal Planning Board recommended approval of this map amendment (GMP2016-00006) and the associated rezoning (ZON2016-00006) on May 17, 2016. City Council approved their recommendation on June 20, 2016.

The second reading of the ordinance is tentatively scheduled for September 15, 2016.

Recommended Action:

Approve the attached ordinance number 2016-62 on first reading and request that the Mayor and City Clerk present the ordinance for second reading and public hearing at the next available City Council Meeting.
