Proposed FY 2016/2017 City Millage Rate of 6.6500

Summary:

Upon approval of the proposed millage rate set forth herein, the City will advise the Property Appraiser of the proposed millage rate, roll-back rate and date, time and place at which a public hearing will be held to consider the City's proposed millage rate and tentative budget.


Fiscal & Efficiency Data:

The proposed City millage rate will generate $159,311,274 based upon a historical collection percentage of 96 percent due to early payment discounts offered.


Recommended Action:

Approval of the proposed City millage rate of 6.6500 and authorization for the CFO to submit the proposed millage rate, roll-back rate and date, time and place of the public hearing to consider the proposed millage rate and tentative budget to the Property Appraiser pursuant to Section 200.065, Florida Statute.
