The attached ordinance is a large scale GMP amendment that will assign Urban Village future land use designation and new subarea policy S.40.10 to property approximately 54.16 acres in size and generally located south of State Road 417, north of Tyson Road, and east of Narcoossee Road. The subarea policy establishes a maximum development program of 350 multifamily dwelling units, 165,000 sq. ft. of commercial/retail, 50,000 sq. ft. of office and 35,000 sq. ft. of public/civic uses, and incorporates the site into the Southeast Orlando Sector Plan.
The Municipal Planning Board recommended approval of the annexation (ANX2015-00029), the GMP amendment to assign Urban Village future land use designation (GMP2015-00052), a new subarea policy S.40.10 (GMP2015-00053), PD zoning (ZON2015-00054) on February 16, 2016. The annexation request has already been adopted.
