The attached ordinance will annex property located east of Turkey Lake Road, north of Sand Lake Road and west of Spring Lake which is approximately 11.263 acres (Majorca). The property is currently developed with two commercial outparcels, a private roadway and a vacant area planned for a future multifamily site.
This annexation is a City-initiated annexation, which adheres to the requirements of section 171.042 of the Florida Statutes. The Majorca Annexation Study was transmitted to Orange County on June 8, 2016 and the required consent forms are attached to this item. The associated future land use designation and initial zoning is required to be submitted and follow the City’s Technical Review Committee and Municipal Planning Board process.
The adoption of this ordinance is scheduled for July 25, 2016.
