Employment Agreement for Permit Technician I in Permitting Services - Kendra Nelson

Summary:
The Permitting Services Division is responsible for ensuring development occurs in compliance with life-safety, Building Code and Municipal code standards. Due to improvement in the economy and an increase in construction activity, Permitting is requesting the approval of a contract agreement for Kendra Nelson in the Permit Technician I position. Ms. Nelson is responsible for reviewing and issuing permit applications under the direction of the Customer Service Manager. This position is included in the FY2016 and FY2017 budgets as a full-time, contract position. This agreement is for a one-year period, beginning on or about July 19, 2016 and ending July 18, 2017.

Recommended Action:
Approve renewal of the Permit Technician I employment contract.
