Ordinance No. 2016-46 initial zoning of PD for property located south of State Road 417, north of Tyson Rd, and east of Narcoossee Rd (Pioneers PD) (Economic Development)

Summary:

The attached ordinance will establish initial zoning of PD for property approximately 54.16 acres in size and generally located south of State Road 417, north of Tyson Road, and east of Narcoossee Road. The ordinance establishes development standards for the subject property including a maximum development program of 350 multifamily dwelling units, 165,000 sq.ft. of commercial/retail, 50,000 sq.ft. of office, and 35,000 sq.ft. of public/civic uses.

The Municipal Planning Board recommended approval of the initial zoning (ZON2015-00054) on February 16, 2016 accompanying approval of the associated annexation (ANX2015-00029) and GMP amendment requests (GMP2015-00052, GMP2015-00053).

This ordinance will be scheduled for 2nd Reading during the City Council Hearing on July 11, 2016.

Recommended Action:
Approve the attached ordinance number 2016-46 on 1st Reading and request that the Mayor and City Clerk present the draft ordinance for second reading and public hearing at City Council on July 11.
