Use of Florida Sheriffs Association Contract with Environmental Products of Florida for the purchase of two (2) 2016 Elgin Pelican Street Sweepers, C16-0297

Summary:

The Streets and Stormwater Division, Fleet Management Division and Procurement and Contracts Division are requesting to utilize the Florida Sheriffs Association Contract #15-13-0904 with Environmental Products of Florida of Apopka, Florida for the purchase of two (2) Elgin Pelican Sweepers in the amount of $217,051.00 each, for a total of $434,102.00.

A maintenance agreement(s) will be negotiated separately with Environmental Products of Florida to cover three (3) years in the estimated annual expenditure of $30,348.00 each, for an estimated total of $182,088.00. Included in the agreements will be a total of 48 main broom changes including labor (which equates to two (2) new brooms per sweeper per month).

No City Certified M/WBE suppliers are registered for this commodity.

Recommended Action:

Authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to utilize the Florida Sheriffs Association Contract with Environmental Products of Florida as indicated above in the estimated amount of $616,190.00, subject to review and approval by the City Attorney’s Office.
