Indoor Sports World, LLC d/b/a Free Kick (Free Kick) plans to open an indoor soccer facility at 3180 Southgate Commerce Boulevard and will offer a soccer academy for ages 5-14, field rentals, pick-up games and birthday parties. The business plans to occupy approximately 35,000 sf of existing space, complete an interior renovation including new restrooms, entrance door, office and multi-purpose room, new lighting and electrical systems, and 25,000 sf of artificial turf fields.   Total capital investment for this project is approximately $235,000.

The business has requested assistance through the City of Orlando's Business Assistance Program.  The Business Assistance Program (BAP) is a matching grant program that was approved by the Orlando City Council on June 18, 2001 to encourage small businesses to locate, expand or redevelop in the City of Orlando.  The Business Assistance Program assists with small-scale infrastructure projects, building permitting fees and impact fees.  The BAP pays fifty percent of eligible fees.  The maximum amount granted under the program guidelines is $20,000. 

Total eligible fees for Free Kick under the Business Assistance Program, are $51,155.34.  The BAP will pay fifty percent of eligible fees ($20,000).  The fee breakdown is as follows:  Sewer Benefit Fee @ 50% = $2,324.25, Transportation Impact Fee @50% = $23,253.42-$5,577.67= $17,675.75.  $2,324.25+$17,675.75= $20,000.  The project qualifies for the maximum award of $20,000.
