Summary:
Habitat for Humanity Greater Orlando (HFHGO) has requested HOME funds in the amount of $687,395 to enable the completion of the Butler’s Preserve Development. The application was approved by the Housing Review Committee on March 7, 2016.
This fifty-nine (59) unit development is located at the corner of Willie Mays Parkway and Carter Street, and will provide home ownership opportunities for low income residents. The project received an Affordable Housing Certification from the Housing and Community Development Department on July 9, 2014. The requested HOME funding will be used exclusively for the purchase of construction materials to complete sixteen (16) homes. A summary of the scope and status of this project is attached as “Executive Summary.” If approved, the funding will enable HFHGO to complete the proposed 59 unit development by November, 2017. |
