Application for the FY16-17 Intimate Violence Enhanced Services Team (InVEST) Grant

Summary:
The Orlando Police Department is a past recipient of an Intimate Violence Enhanced Services Team (InVEST) grant awarded through the Florida Coalition against Domestic Violence (FCADV). If awarded, this grant of up to $150,000 will continue funding for a dedicated OPD domestic violence detective. OPD and Harbor House are parties to an existing MOU and have a working relationship that focuses on addressing domestic violence within our community in a manner that seeks to reduce the number of domestic violence related homicides.

Fiscal & Efficiency Data: FIS is not required at this time.

Recommended Action:
Approval by City Council and execution by the Mayor for the FY16-17 Intimate Violence Enhanced Services Team (InVEST) Grant.
