Subject:The Fifth Amendment to Amended DRI Development Order for Semoran Commercenter Development of Regional Impact (Economic Development)
Summary:

Semoran Commercenter is a Development of Regional Impact (DRI) that is approximately 101 acres in size located in Southeast Orlando. More specifically, it is located west of S. Semoran Boulevard, south of Butler National Drive, east of Shadowridge Drive, and north of Hazeltine National Drive.

On February 6, 2016, the Municipal Planning Board approved an amendment the Semoran Commercenter DRI to remove approximately 18.63 acres from the DRI (Case DRI2015-00005). This change will facilitate development of a hotel that is larger than the remaining hotel entitlements in the DRI.

The proposal is determined to be non-substantial and will not require a Notice of Proposed Change (NOPC) per Florida Statutes, Chapter 380.06 (19)(e)2(k) and does not require further DRI review.

Recommended Action:Approval of the attached development order and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk or Mayor Pro Tempore and City Clerk to execute on behalf of the City upon final review and approval by the City Attorney.
