The attached ordinance will rezone +/12.94 acres of property generally located north of W. Livingston St., south of W. Amelia St., and west of N. Parramore Ave. The ordinance will change the site's zoning from I-G/T/PH, MU-1/T/PH, R-2A/T/PH and R-2B/T/PH to Public Use (P) with the Traditional City (/T) and Parramore Heritage (/PH) Overlays to allow the development of a new +/-329,985 sq. ft. PS-8 Community School with on-site health clinic and Boys and Girls Club.
The Municipal Planning Board (MPB) recommended approval of the Parramore School Growth Management Plan amendment (GMP2015-00040) to Public, Recreational and Institutional future land use and the associated shifting of Future Land Use Subarea Policy S.6.1, as well as the rezoning from (ZON2015-00034) on October 20, 2015.
Municipal Planning Board’s recommendation was approved by City Council on November 16, 2015. The GMP amendment is included in the 2016 Winter Cycle of Amendments, which had its first reading on December 14, 2015 and its hearing/second reading and adoption on March 14, 2016.
The first reading of this ordinance was approved on March 14, 2016.
