The CRA recently approved the Downtown Relocation Assistance Program Policies and Procedures and the Downtown Relocation Assistance Program Implementation Agreement with HSN.  The Program and implementing Agreement both contemplate a program to assist chronically homeless within the Downtown Area in obtaining permanent supportive housing. In beginning to implement the Program and try to identify persons to place in permanent supportive housing, it has become evident that the current definition in the Policies and Procedures limits our ability to house the most vulnerable individuals who have been identified within the CRA.  The amendment to the Policies and Procedures and Agreement refines the definition of chronically homeless to better meet the CRA’s needs and the needs of our community.

On March 29, 2016 the CRA Advisory Board recommended the CRA approve Amendment One to Downtown Relocation Assistance Program Implementation Agreement, subject to review and approval of the City Attorney’s Office, and the changes in Section II of the Policies and Procedures related to eligibility.
