Renewal of Employment Agreement for Permit Technician I in Permitting Services - John Berry

Summary:
The Permitting Services Division is responsible for ensuring development occurs in compliance with life-safety, Building Code and Municipal code standards. Due to improvement in the economy and an increase in construction activity, Permitting is requesting the approval of renewing contract agreement for Mr. John Berry in the Permit Technician I position. Mr. Berry is responsible for reviewing and issuing permit applications under the direction of the Customer Service Manager. This position is included in the FY2015 and FY2016 budgets as a full-time, contract position. This agreement is for a one-year period, beginning on or about March 28, 2016 and ending March 27, 2017.

Recommended Action:
Approve renewal of the Permit Technician I employment contract.
