The undeveloped +/0.32 acre subject site is generally located south of E. South Street, north of the SR 408, east of Calhoun Place and west of N. Mills Avenue and is comprised of multiple parcels (1118 E. South St., 1120 E. South St., 412 S. Mills Ave., and 416 S. Mills Ave). The site will be used for a new lift station (Lift Station #1).
The City is requesting a small scale GMP future land use map amendment from Residential Medium Intensity to Public, Recreational and Institutional and an associated rezoning to from R-3B with Traditional City (/T/) and Aircraft Noise (/AN) overlays to Public Use (/P) with Traditional City (/T) and Aircraft Noise (/AN) overlays to allow the development of a new lift station (Lift Station #1).
The Municipal Planning Board recommended approval of the future land use map amendment (GMP2015-00047) and rezoning (ZON2015-00046) on December 15, 2015. A conditional use permit for the lift station (CUP2015-00013) was also approved.
The first reading of the ordinance was approved on March 14, 2016.
