Summary:
The City has contracted with Garney Company (Garney) for the construction of the West Central Blvd Gravity Sewer, Roadway, Utility and Streetscape Project (Project). In need of a staging and lay down area for its materials and office, Graney proposes to use two City-owned lots located at 709 and 717 W Central Blvd for construction staging and lay down, materials storage, construction office and related parking during its construction of the Project.
City staff proposes to license the use of the vacant lots to Garney as detailed in the attached License Agreement for Construction Staging (Agreement). The term of the Agreement will commence on February 29, 2016 and end on October 30, 2016. The term may be extended upon mutual agreement for two (2) additional terms of three (3) month each. Either party may terminate the agreement upon thirty (30) days prior written notice. |
Recommended Action:
Approval and authorization for the Mayor/Pro Tem and City Clerk to execute the Agreement, substantially in the form attached, and approval and authorization, without further City Council approval, for the Real Estate Division Manager to execute the additional extension options referenced herein, so long as such approvals are in conformance with the terms and conditions of the Agreement, all subject to the review and approval of the City Attorney's Office. |
