Request for Qualification Statements for Professional Engineering Services of Econlockhatchee (Econ) Trail Roadway Expansion Project, RQS16-0094

Summary:

A Request for Qualification Statements (RQS) for the subject project was issued on November 10, 2015.  Six (6) firms responded to this solicitation and the Consultants' Qualifications Board certified all six (6) firms on December 17, 2015.  On January 7, 2016, the Advisory Committee shortlisted the top-ranked three (3) firms for formal interviews and oral presentations.  After final presentations, the Advisory Committee met to generate a ranking of the firms as follows:

Dewberry Engineers, Inc. has agreed to meet or exceed the City of Orlando’s M/WBE combined goals of 24%.  Dewberry Engineers, Inc. MWBE Participation Plan is as follows:

The ranking of the Respondents for these professional services has no fiscal impact.


Recommended Action:

Approval of the Advisory Committee's ranking and approval for City staff to proceed with negotiations with the top ranked firm, Dewberry, Inc.   Should negotiations with the top ranked firm prove unsuccessful, approve negotiations with successively ranked firms until a successful agreement is reached.
