Ordinance No. 2016-12 annexing, assigning future land use and zoning to property at 1931 S. Fern Creek Ave. (Economic Development)

Summary:

The subject property is located at 1931 S. Fern Creek Ave., which is south of E. Kaley Street, east of S. Fern Creek Avenue, and north of E. Harding Street and is approximately 0.15 acres. Annexation, GMP amendment and initial zoning are being requested in order to develop a residential duplex development of up to 2,018 sq. ft.

The Municipal Planning Board recommended approval of the annexation (ANX2015-00024) the GMP amendment to assign Residential Low Intensity and future land use designation (GMP2015-00045) and the initial zoning of R-2A/T (ZON2015-00040) on November 17, 2015.  The first reading of Ordinance No. 2016-12 was heard at the January 25, 2016 City Council meeting.

Recommended Action:

Adopt the attached ordinance number 2016-12 and authorize the Major and City Clerk or Major Pro Tempore and City Clerk to execute on behalf of the City upon final review and approval by the City Attorney.
