Ordinance No. 2016-3 annexing, assigning future land use and zoning for property at 1730 E. Jersey Ave. (Economic Development)
Summary:

The subject property is located at 1730 E. Jersey Ave., which is south of E. Jersey Avenue, west of Ives Lane and north of E. Michigan Street and is approximately 0.324 acres. Annexation, GMP amendment and initial zoning are being requested in order to develop a non-residential development of up to 1,550 sq. ft.  as part of a larger development site that includes property inside the City limits to the south.

 

The Municipal Planning Board recommended approval of the annexation (ANX2015-00016), the GMP amendment to assign Residential Low Intensity and Mixed Use Corridor Medium Intensity future land use designation (GMP2015-00032) and the initial zoning of R-2A/T & MU-1/T (ZON2015-00029) on October 20, 2015.  The first reading of Ordinance No. 2016-3 was heard at the January 25, 2016 City Council meeting.

Recommended Action:

Adopt the attached ordinance number 2016-3 and authorize the Major and City Clerk or Major Pro Tempore and City Clerk to execute on behalf of the City upon final review and approval by the City Attorney.
