Ordinance No. 2016-21 assigning Planned Development zoning for property located north of Curry Ford Road, east and south of Camellia Garden Drive, and west of Colton Drive (6933 Curry Ford Road/Big Dog Driving Range). (Economic Development)

Summary:

The attached ordinance will assign Planned Development zoning to property located at 6933 Curry Ford Road, which is north of Curry Ford Road, east and south of Camellia Garden Drive, and west of Colton Drive and is approximately 44.74 acres.  The Municipal Planning Board recommended approval of the annexation (ANX2015-00006), the GMP amendment to assign Residential Low Intensity future land use designation (GMP2015-00008) on April 21, 2015 and approved the zoning (ZON2015-00006) to assign Planned Development zoning on November 17, 2015.  The applicant proposes to develop a subdivision with 159 single family units.

The adoption ordinance for the PD ordinance is scheduled for February 29, 2016.

Recommended Action:

Approve the attached ordinance number 2016-21 on first reading and request that the Mayor and City Clerk present the draft ordinance for second reading and public hearing at the next City Council Meeting.
