Summary:
The attached ordinance will amend the Growth Management Plan by changing the future land use designation from Conservation to Urban Village and rezoning from C/AN to PD/AN for approximately 0.19 acres located to the southeast of the intersection of Humboldt Drive and Laureate Boulevard. The ordinance also amends the Lake Nona PD to add communication towers as a permitted use in the Urban Village future land use designation.
The Municipal Planning Board recommended approval the GMP amendment (Case #GMP2015-00026) and PD zoning (Case #ZON2015-00023) on September 15, 2015. The property is currently vacant. The proposed amendments will accommodate the development of a new communication tower.
